 Program Grants
Do you need some extra funding for an exciting program related to spirituality and reproductive justice? If so, apply for a Spiritual Youth for Reproductive Freedom (SYRF) programmatic grant today!
Who should apply?
SYRF programmatic grants are available to SYRF chapters; SYRF associated groups or any student organization or community group working with people between the ages of 16 and 30. SYRF programmatic grants may only be used to fund events relating to spirituality and pro-choice reproductive justice. (If you need programming ideas or if you’re not sure if your event idea fits our criteria, just ask! We can be reached at info@syrf.org.)
How much money will be allocated with each grant?
SYRF programmatic grants usually range from $250 to $1,000. Applications for larger grants will be considered when necessary.
What can the grants be used for?
SYRF grants can be used to cover costs associated with events, including food, publicity, speaker, space, and equipment rental fees. Many organizations have applied for grants to fund panels of pro-choice clergy speaking about reproductive justice, movie screenings, interfaith discussions, and many, many other events! Please note:
- SYRF reserves the right to deny grant funding to any applicant.
- Applications must be submitted a minimum of 30 days prior to events.
- All event publicity must contain the SYRF logo which is available for download here.
- Events must be documented (and all pictures taken at events funded by SYRF programmatic grants must be submitted by e-mail to info@syrf.org).
- Event organizers are required to offer SYRF materials (available to grant recipients free of cost by contacting us by e-mail) and opportunities to join the national SYRF list serv (in the form of a sign-up sheet) at all events. Download a sign-in sheet here.
- An online evaluation of the event must be completed within 30 days of the event using this form.

What is Spiritual Youth for Reproductive Freedom (SYRF)?
Spiritual Youth for Reproductive Freedom (SYRF) educates, organizes and empowers youth and young adults (ages 16-30) to put their faith into action and advocate for pro-choice social justice. SYRF is a program of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.
