Become a SYRF Organizer
SYRF is seeking passionate, enthusiastic, and articulate student organizers at colleges and universities across the country to serve as ambassadors for the program during her or his university tenure.
This internship will last for two academic semesters. Student interns may have the opportunity to receive class credit and a $1,000 stipend for eight months of student organizing per academic year ($500 per semester). Students will be expected to devote roughly six hours a week to SYRF organizing.
A candidate for this internship must currently be enrolled as a student at an American college or university and demonstrate a strong commitment to reproductive freedom and to religious expression.

Fund Development Program Coordinator at the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice
TITLE: Program Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Fund Development
REPORTS TO: Development Director
JOB PURPOSE: The Program Coordinator works with the Development Director to manage the organization’s direct mail program, cultivate and maintain donor relationships, and assist in the administration of the Development Department.
Knowledge, skills & abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to diverse staff, donors, consultants and board members.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong initiative and attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and ability to meet deadlines are essential.
- Experience using database, spreadsheet and word processing software.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the direct mail program, including oversight of creative themes, production, deadlines and quality control.
- Supervise data management, which includes ensuring accurate and complete donor records and maintaining the integrity of the database.
- Assist in the creation of compelling direct mail packages.
- Manage production of major donor appeals and play supportive role in solicitation of these donors.
- Assist in tracking direct mail expenses/revenue and maintaining internal expense report.
- Manage the development calendar and monitor and coordinate development timelines.
- Assist in preparing attachments for foundation proposals and maintaining grant information records.
- Manage donor correspondence and acknowledgements.
- Gather information from the donor database as needed.
Miscellaneous
- Successful development experience preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Commitment to the mission of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.
- Training is provided.
