"What is the SYRFvey?" you may ask...well, let me tell you! The SYRF staff is working with two fabulous strategic planning consultants to create a three year strategic plan for the SYRF program. Our goal is to double the number of people involved in the SYRF program.

SO, we've created a short survey (or SYRFvey,if you will) and are asking for your feedback about our program. You don't need to be involved to share your thoughts. We will be collecting SYRFvey responses until July 25, 2008. Set aside a few minutes (we promise the survey won't take more than seven minutes to complete) and tell us what you think!

Strike for Your Rights

Our plans for the Democratic National Convention (DNC) are finalized and we're putting the finishing touches on our plans banner for the Republican National Convention. If you're planning to be in Denver for the DNC, join us for two exciting events:

Join the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice's Spiritual Youth for Reproductive Freedom (SYRF) program for a night of bowling, drinks, and appetizers! We've reserved the VIP lounge at Lucky Strike in Denver's 16th Street Mall area and look forward to networking with youth and young adults in town for the Democratic National Convention. Delegates and non-delegates alike are invited to attend this free event-but come prepared to show off your bowling skills and strike for your rights! Strike for Your Rights is being held in conjunction with the Religious Coalition's Lift Every Voice campaign for voter empowerment and education. You must RSVP to attend. Guests will be IDed at the door. You must be 21 to attend.

Lift Every Voice for Reproductive Justice

Join Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC) President Reverend Dr. Carlton W. Veazey and other religious leaders and special guests to "lift every voice for reproductive justice" at the Denver Athletic Club, a quick stroll from the Convention Center. You need not be a delegate to attend this free musical event lifting up our voices for reproductive health, rights and justice.

SYRFs Up!

Although the SYRFvey has a kitschy name, it also has a really important purpose--to help us grow and better our program. To do this, we need your help! Our two wonderful strategic planning consultants, Monique and Carolyn, have created the SYRFvey featured in this month's SYRForecast and promise it won't take more than seven minutes to complete. A few quick minutes (before July 25 when the survey closes) to really effect the direction of the SYRF program...sounds like a good deal!

Our office is also bustling with other exciting projects including plans for the Democratic and Republican National Conventions this summer. Don't forget to RSVP to Strike for Your Rights if you plan to be in Denver for the DNC in August (and spread the word to others who will be in town, too)!

We love Minnesota for its 10,000 lakes and the charming accent of its residents (not to mention that it is the birthplace of Prince, excuse me...TAFKAP), but make room for another entry on your "List of Reasons to Love Minnesota!"
