SYRF's Up! We've had lots of reasons to celebrate around our office in the past few weeks.
The inauguration
of our new pro-choice president was an exciting, busy, historic, and very cold time in the nation's capital. I was able to attend the festivities on the Mall and was thrilled to see so many other young people there, too!
My sister and brother-in-law also welcomed a new baby into our family (
Olivia Abigail was born on February 6). Olivia's birth has strengthened my commitment to ensure the world in which she grows up is a just one (complete with comprehensive sex education in schools and access to honest and affordable reproductive health care).
In addition, our online community is almost one year old and we're showing it off with our newest web campaign. When you're done reading the February SYRForecast, won't you become a
Sex Education Superstar? It is quick, easy, and important.
Lastly, we're celebrating the planning and implementation of a second successful season of
Regional Training Institutes (we'll see some of y'all in Texas!). Thanks to everyone who participated or presented at a training and a special thanks to SYRF Program Coordinator Josh Fixler, for his hard work on the trainings, too!
