Dear SYRFers,
I am still getting used to the idea that I'm not
returning to school in a few days (planning my first
day of school outfit, packing a lunch, shopping for
school supplies). I am lucky I get to distract myself
by gearing up for fall through all kinds of new SYRF
projects... I am eager to hear all about
what your SYRF organizing plans are for this year.

New Education Series Editions
Three new papers now online!
Check out the resources
section of the SYRF website
to read up on what Pagan, Hindu, and Muslim scholars
have to say about spirituality and choice. The SYRF
Education Series features many resources that are
very helpful for work on campus. The papers are
based on similar resources written for the Religious
Coalition for Reproductive Choice but created
specifically for young adults!

FDA Approves EC For Adult Women
Struggle continues for women under 18
The Food and Drug Administration has decided to
allow emergency contraception (EC) to be
sold over- the-counter to women 18 and over. Those
17 and younger will still need to have a prescription,
despite no medical evidence that the drug is unsafe
for use by younger teens.
